Cotswold Coursing Meeting, Kilkenny, 2002
Medium: Oil on Canvas
Dimensions: 59cm (H) x 89cm (W) [Framed] * For external dimensions including frame add approx. 22cm to each dimension
This painting shows a very picturesque Gloucestershire setting at Kilkenny Farm near Bibury, with Cotswold limestone walls enclosing the large fields. The meeting took place on 8 February 2002, the ‘going’ being on winter corn with quite a lot of flint to contend with. Capt. John Barrow was the Judge and Messrs. B. Pether and W. Drew handled the slipping.
