East of England Coursing Meeting, 2004 Ewerby
Medium: Oil on Canvas
Dimensions: 51cm (H) x 61cm (W) [Not Framed]
This club ran the famous Barbican Cup meeting for many years. It used to be a 64-dog event but had been reduced for some time to 32 dogs and in 2002/03 to 16 dogs. The traditional coursing ground was at Postland near Spalding, Lincolnshire but in recent years the coursing took place at different venues near Sleaford. The painting shows a course at Haverholme Park Estate, Ewerby – the meeting being held on 30 November 2004. The Judge was Ms. J. Scott and the Slipper was Arron Atmore.
